Here is a very simple, yet powerful affirmation.

Expect Success

Can you set your Mind for Achievement?

.

Let me ask you a question, “Can you set your mind for achievement, then reach that achievement over time?” To do just that, requires a number of life skills; Life skills that by now everyone should possess, but despite all of mankind’s advances, this is still not the case.  If you cannot set your mind for achievement and then reach it, then I believe there are some life skills that you would benefit from acquiring.

Achievement is another word for success. Success is sometimes a hard word to define, as success all too often means different things to different people. As I understand it success or achievement is to decide that; you will reach some worthy ideal, meaning to have something, to do a certain thing, to be someone with a certain quality or skill for example.

In order to set your mind for achievement and then to be able to reach that achievement I believe that the following skills would be required –

  • A POSITIVE MIND and to know how to keep it that way.
  • Then with a positive mind be able to talk and think in the LANGUAGE OF SUCCESS.
  • A thorough understanding of the different types of goals that there are. (That is essential before
    setting any goal.)
  • To be able to set yourself a goal correctly.
  • To have an understanding of GOAL ATTRACTION.

When you can honestly say that you understand and know how to apply all that to your daily life, then you will be equipped to set your mind for achievement and expect to reach it over time. With practise as with any skill over time, your skill will improve and get more proficient. Your powers of goal attraction will get stronger and stronger, bringing you all of the good things that life has to offer. Now those life skills are definitely worth obtaining, the benefits to you will be truly magical as you go through life living it the way you want, having all that you want and being the person that you were put on this earth to be.

The Secret of Achieving

.

Never allow any negative thoughts to take your mind away from your dreams and goals.

Think only of what you want.
Dream only of what you want.
Get emotional about only what you want.
Get into the feeling and flow only of what you want.
Talk only of what you want.
Take action only of what you want.

Never think persistently of what you do not want, because that will only give it the power to be attracted to you.

The secret of achieving is to stay focused on what it is that you want most; forget and stop worrying about everything that you do not want.

Our Greatest fear, by Marian Williamson

.

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some: it is in everyone.

And, as we let our light shine, we constantly give,
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

NEVER TOO LATE to be GREAT

by TOM BUTLER-BOWDON

Published by Virgin Press on 22nd March 2012, £11.99 tpbk and £12.52 ebook

It’s never too late to begin the journey of being or doing something remarkable.

Never Too Late to be Great is about the power of thinking long. Exposing the myth of ‘overnight’ success, personal development authority Tom Butler-Bowdon shows us that contrary to popular belief, people, companies, products and ideas invariably need a long time to realise their potential.

Highlighting the importance of the ‘ten-year rule’ as referred to in Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers, which suggests that significant achievements rarely happen without a decade of intense work and practice in any given area, Never Too Late to be Great offers inspiration for the impatient or disheartened to stay the course, and gives reassurance to us all that, given the longer life spans most of us enjoy now, we have more time than we think to achieve our goals.

Written in the tradition of classic motivational literature, Never Too Late to be Great provides readers with the facts and inspiration necessary to help them banish the excuses that prevent them from achieving everything they want in life. It will appeal to adults at all stages, from people in their twenties, frustrated with the pace of their career progress, to people facing their mid-life or redundancy and looking for a change of career.

Tom Butler-Bowdon is a graduate of the London School of Economics and the University of Sydney. He left his job as a political advisor to write the bestselling 50 Self-Help Classics – a guide to personal development literature.
