I do not do failure

.
You will hear some people say “I do not do failure” and if you look at these people, no matter how challenging circumstances become for them, they work their way to the top.

It is a good idea to use “I do not do failure” as an affirmation. Then act as if you can not fail; then watch your results improve.

Goals will shape your life

“Life can be pushed by goals, just as surely as it can be pushed by drives.”

Goal setting October 2011

.
Here we are at the start of October, another new month. At the start of each month I encourage my thousands of readers to set and pursue a new goal or to carry on in the pursuit of an ongoing goal. So after reviewing your recent progress, it is now time to look ahead with renewed energy. Know clearly in your mind what you want and have a strong clear mental picture of your goal. Regularly visit this mental image as often as you can, never doubt in that goal, instead calmly expect it. Do that for the next 31 days of this month, take action at the right time and never delay. You may well be surprised by all that you could achieve in this month.

Do not live a life of watching others win. Take your dreams and turn them into goals, take those goals and attract them to you, then you can live your dreams.

September Goal setting review

.

I started this month in the usual way on these blog pages, by encouraging my readers to set a goal or to reset an existing goal. Now at the end of September it is time to review this month’s progress. To review your goals is a vital part of reaching them. Depending on the type of goal you have set, a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly review of progress is needed. If no progress has been made, do not beat yourself up about it; acknowledge that fact and think about the best thing to do next that will move you closer to your goal. If you reached your goal or made some progress towards it, no matter how small, be sure to be thankful for it and to savour it.

As a person works towards their chosen goal it should be remembered that it is not a case of winning versus losing. It is more a case of results. These results can be learnt from; results can be improved upon by repetition, and trial and error until you get the desired result that you are seeking.

It is never over until you say that it is over. Thomas Edison famously needed 10,000 attempts to create the world’s first usable light bulb. Think about how many people would be prepared to go the distance like that without giving up? That is why he achieved something so out of the ordinary, with persistence you can also achieve results out of the ordinary too and it starts off from setting a goal.

So review your progress this month, continue if you need to or if all has gone well for you this month, then it is time to think about setting another new goal. Good luck.

Use your time well

If it needs to be done, then do it today.

Goal setting and imagination

.

All goal setting starts with some use of the imagination and when we get to goal attraction our imaginations are vital in attracting to us the goals that we want.

You set the limits in your own life, when you limit your imagination. Everything in our lives at the present time and in the future will be a reflection of our thoughts; some do not like this fact, but a fact it is. As Earle Nightingale put it “we will become what we think about” If our thoughts are so interlinked with our lives and creating our world around us, then we must be the master of our own thoughts and in no way limit those thoughts.

We limit our thoughts when we follow the crowd. I believe that to follow the crowd is folly and to think small is no good at all. The crowd loves to think small and conform to the rest of the crowd. The crowd does not follow the leader; instead the crowd prefers to follow the follower, without ever checking to find out what the leader has achieved.

Use your imagination to think big, to think outside of the box, in a way that the crowd will not do. Then use your imagination to attract your goals to you by coming up with the creative ideas to help you achieve them.

See your goal in your imagination first, in every detail, believe in it and expect your goal to be achieved.

Life and results

.

Sometimes everything in life appears to go our way.
Sometimes everything appears against us.

Sometimes life is all plain sailing.
Sometimes life is like riding the rapids on a treacherous river.

Sometimes we have choices and options.
Sometimes we do not.

But one thing is clear. We must use our time, choices and options well. For then we can make as much as possible go our way, and feel like plain sailing.

The secret – Rhonda Byrne

.

Rhonda Byrne wrote a book called “The Secret” in 2006 and a film was made around the same time.

Rhonda Byrne’s book has been translated into 44 languages. The Secret tells about the Law of attraction and the importance of positive thoughts, feelings and emotions; The Secret explains how these manifest into the realities of our lives. In other words, everything that we have at present in our lives, we have attracted to us and we will attract our futures in the same way. The Secret explains all that we need to do to attract the things to us that we want in life and avoid all that we do not want.

Why is it called a secret? – because the information in The Secret has been around for thousands of years and has made many that knew about it very successful, yet it is not common knowledge even today.

The Secret has a long list of expert contributors which helped to explain the secret in great detail.

The book of Genesis and our place in this world.

.

In the Bible the first book is Genesis. This first book of the Bible begins with The Story of Creation. The story explains the creation of the universe and our planets place within it, with our sun and moon. Moving on to explain the land and seas, the first animals and birds, then the Genesis story tells of the creation of mankind and our place in this world.

In Genesis 1: 26 – 31 a few very interesting points are made –

• God made man in his own image.
• Mankind was told to be fruitful and multiply, to master and subdue the Earth, to have dominion over all the land, plants and animals.

Those two points are well worth giving some thought to.

Fear not to dream and to dream big.

.

Fear not to dream and to dream big.
Fearing to dream will only set you up to follow in the mediocrity of the crowd
And to follow the crowd is folly.
To follow the crowd is only to follow the follower.
The one in front may well be more lost than you, but they will never admit to it.
If you dream bigger than those around you and work to make those dreams come true,
Then the crowd will ultimately want to follow you.
