Goal setting – 1st July 2011

.
You may have been recently reviewing your progress towards your goals this year, now that we are half way through the year. Or you may have been reviewing your recent progress towards your goals. Either way you must learn from your past and not be chained to the past. Learn what works for you and what does not work for you. You will never fail if you learn from the experiences of the past, something you’ll later find to be of value, although sometimes you may have to dig deep to find it.

Be positive, it’s the start of a new month full of opportunities waiting to be found by you. Set a new goal for yourself if you are ready to this month or continue working on your present one.

Understand fully the reason why you want that goal; that will provide you with all the natural desire and energy needed to reach that goal. The stronger the reason why, the more desire and energy you will have in perusing that goal.

By all means have a list of goals that you want to reach, but it is best you work on one goal at a time, putting all of your energy into just that one. If you have a big list of goals, some may be interlinked in some way. Working on one of these interlinked goals may actually have a beneficial knock on effect on other goals on your list. So look at your goals list and choose which one to work on first carefully.

“All successful people have a goal. No one can get anywhere unless he knows where he wants to go and what he wants to be or do.” – Norman Vincent Peale

For the next 31 days of this month, keep your goal clearly before you, by keeping it amongst your dominant thoughts. In doing that along you will then be able to see many opportunities around you, you will get great ideas and flashes of insight. Be ready.
