Monthly goal setting review

Here we are at the end of another month; five full months on from New Year’s Day and those resolutions. At the start of each month I encourage my thousands of readers to either set a goal or to continue in the pursuit of their present ongoing goal. A review of progress is an important part of goal setting. It is important to take the time to see what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong.  Look at your actions and then the results from those actions.

  • Have I been constant in my efforts to reach my goal?
  • What could I have done better?
  • Have I kept my goal dominant in my thoughts?
  • What have I learned from the last month or over the time that I have been pursuing my goal?
  • Look at your results.

Ask these types of questions and more, and be honest to yourself about the answers, but always be positive! Be calm, happy and relaxed, enjoy the journey and see it as an enjoyable game, a game that you know you cannot lose.

If you have reached your goal then enjoy the moment, the satisfaction and pleasure of your result.

Learn from the past, but do not allow yourself to be a prisoner to the past. Set new goals or keep on working on that present bigger goal; be like a train on rails staying on course.
