The path to success

The path to success is learning how to use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you. If you do that, you’re in control of your life. If you don’t, life controls you.

Tony Brassington / Mind and Achievement Newsletter

The Mind and Achievement Newsletter has just recently been added to this website, it replaces the 500 wealth and success quotes (still available free if anyone would like to email me for a copy), but the new newsletter will better reflect the company and work of Tony Brassington.

It is my intention to make some items available to my newsletter readers first, for example audio downloads, which I will be making very soon. Some news items will be posted firstly in my newsletter. As well as some goal setting and goal attraction items, which may only be available through my newsletter. There will also be information on my public speaking events.

As I often say – “When you truly set your mind on success, the right people, places and events, and so on will show up to help you on your way”. Many people believe this to be true, so what you are reading now and by joining my newsletter, may very well be part of the right people, places and events for your journey, helping you to continue in the direction of success and achieve all that you are seeking.

To sign up for the Tony Brassington / Mind and Achievement Newsletter, please click on the blue box on the left hand side of the page (Newsletter tab). Your email address or any other information will not be shared with any third party and you will have the option to unsubscribe at any time.

Today would be a good day to start.

Why wait? When will the time be right? When will the market or economy be right, will you have more time in the future – how could you have more time without more hours being added to the day?

Some appear to live by the motto of “I will do it tomorrow” does that tomorrow ever come for them? Results will not come by putting things off until tomorrow.

“One today is worth two tomorrows” as Benjamin Franklin put it.

So when is the time right? The time is right when you –

Know what you want.
Know why you want it.

When you know the answers to those two questions then it is the correct time to start and take the first steps. So if you are ready then today would be a good day to start.

Mind and Achievement Ltd now has its own page on Facebook. I have been planning to do this for some time and today it has come into being.

Mind and Achievement Ltd
Promotes –

Positivity – a must success requirement.
Goal setting – to set a goal correctly is half the task.
Goal attraction – makes it happen for you.
Through Seminars, blogs, CD’s and Books.

Positivity – I believe that being positive is the number one lesson from personal development in order to reach your chosen success and maintain it.

Goal setting – it is vital to understand how to set your goal correctly. Goals which are poorly set or poorly understood, can lead to years of disillusionment and frustration, which could have been so easily avoided. That wasted time could instead have been a time of enjoying your achieved goal; if only you had understood better at the outset goal setting and goal attraction.

Goal attraction – there are many different methods to attracting your goal towards you, some will suit your needs better than others, but the more goal attraction methods you know and apply the stronger your powers of goal attraction will be and the quicker your goals will be achieved.

Join me and let’s go forward in the success direction together.

Everything moves in cycles

Everything moves in cycles and often these cycles are moving between opposite extremes. Prosperity to hard times, summer to winter, happiness to sadness, law and order to times when crime gains the upper hand for a period of time. A compass needs a north and a south, a coin needs both of its sides, that is just the way that it is, so many things in this world of ours need their opposite in order to survive or provide what they do. In the pursuit of success there will be some possible temporary failure; it is only the other side of the coin and when we spin a coin repeatedly, the side of our choosing can not fail to turn up eventually.

What of success? First you must start the cycle off by choosing a worthy ideal, life purpose or thing that you wish to have, be or do. This is first done in your mind. Next at some point this must become a formal goal. A formal goal is usually a written goal. Then apply all your powers of goal attraction by making that goal a dominant thought and taking all the decisions and action necessary to make it happen.

The success cycle has then started; there will be times when your success will have to give some ground to its opposite, a set back or brief failure, but that is just the way of things. If you are persistent in your effort, positive in your attitude and have the desire to keep on going without letting up, then you will reach the high point in your own success cycle.

The Optimist Creed

The Optimist Creed by Christian D.Larson; first printed in his book – Your forces and how to use them.

Promise yourself –
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your piece of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large to worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and to happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Isn’t that great! There is so much wisdom and value in those words. Think how the world would be if more people took those words to heart and lived by them.

Attract your goal and keep trying until you do

Sometimes things just simply fall into place with almost no effort at all, but most of the time that is not the case. Life will seem to test you, to see just how badly you want that object of your hearts desire. It is a test to prove how determined you are. How persistent you will be and how resourceful you can be in the attraction of your goal.

Some call it failure, when after a number of attempts they still have not achieved their goal. It is not failure, but a number of attempts that failed to produce the required result. When we learn from these past attempts, it is then possible to use this experience to refine the next attempt and the one after that too if needs be. To keep on trying and learning, which then leads to improved attempts in the pursuit of attracting your goal, that does not make you a failure, it is just improving practice by experience.

”A man can fail many time times, but he isn’t a failure till he blames someone else”
– John Burroughs

When it is necessary sometimes to try a number of times in the pursuit of your goal, then that is just how it is and you need to do so with a calm and sure mindset that it will come to you in the end. Many will not do this, they are happy to give up too early and as a result miss their goal altogether. They are often heard blaming something, some event or someone else for their lack of progress, but a winner knows that if you want something badly enough, then you will keep on trying and learning from each attempt until you achieve it.

Find the best in each day

It’s Fine today, by Douglas Malloch.

Sure, this world is full of trouble
I ain’t said it ain’t.
Lord, I’ve had enough and double
Reason for complaint;
Rain and storm have come to fret me,
Skies are often gray;
Thorns and brambles have beset me
On the road — but say,
Ain’t it fine today?

What’s the use of always weepin’,
Making trouble last?
What’s the use of always keepin’
Thinkin’ of the past?
Each must have his tribulation —
Water with his wine;
Life, it ain’t no celebration,
Trouble? — I’ve had mine —
But today is fine!

It’s today that I am livin’,
Not a month ago.
Havin’; losin’; takin’; givin’;
As time wills it so.
Yesterday a cloud of sorrow
Fell across the way,
It may rain again tomorrow,
It may rain — but say,
Ain’t it fine today?
