There is no instant change without constant change and goal setting is the way to achieve it. Some Gurus talk about and offer instant change. That is a great gift to bring to others. What happens to people that attend an instant change type of seminar or reads a book of that type? Some come away and do just that, they change forever and never look back. Then there is a second group of people that are also changed in an instant also having got the same clear message, but when they leave the event as the days go by they slip back into their old ways; life patterns. Why? Because instant change needs constant change to make it happen, those changes need to join our regular dominant thoughts. If we allow the distractions of life and the daily cares and worries to rule our dominant thoughts then real lasting change will have little chance.  The qualities of that instant change can be reinforced by affirmations or setting goals in line with the ideals of that change. Use your goal setting to bring about lasting constant change. We need as individuals to set a balanced mixture of goals, set some small goals just for fun and satisfaction, set some big goals because they challenge us the most, causing us to grow as people in skills, knowledge and character.  Amongst this set goals for the things you truly want and set goals for yourself as a person. The goals that you set for the person can include those lasting change types of goals. When you have set your goals and then apply goal attraction methods to reach them. All goals will need a regular review of progress and some goals will be ongoing.  You will then find that you can achieve lasting change and not short term instant change.
